I have been going here for YEARS!! They are the only ones I'd allow in my daughter's hair. They're prices are reasonable and as long as the shop isn't packed, you're out of there in a good time. Very thorough and the attention to detail is great! Would definitely recommend them!

I use to do my own hair but every since I found out about this place two months ago it’s been my go to place!! Everybody is exceptionally nice and professional! I’ve never had a problem with them turning me down when I needed my hair done! From now on when I don’t feel like doing my own they will be my choice!! And the gospel African music they show on TV is a plus for me it be having my toes tapping!! Thank y’all for a job well done!!????????

I visited the salon for a cornrow hairstyle. I am truly amazed with the job that I had recieved. There was 3 women working when I had arrived at 9:30. One came off from braiding with someone else and got me done in 2 hours. I was like what!!! I couldn't believe it. I had to tip her!! They work as a team, they will call extra hands if necessary, I saw that with my own eyes. I watched them bring people's hair to life. I'm going back and recommend that anyone looking to get hours of work done, go in the morning, when they first open. That's when they're fresh full of vigor to get you in and out. They are talented hair raiders and I would recommend them to everyone......

I have box braids from there and I love them. Great atmosphere great service nice clean shop! When I take these out I will be going back for my micros!

Pros: they can braid and have growing hands. They will also call ppl in if they get swooped. They will take walkins if they can. Cons: if you find it rude when ppl speak different languages in front of you, you may be offend because they mostly speak French. The store front window is huge so ppl can see you in full fro.

I Just got my Mini Box braids done and its neat and nice i will be coming back. i love this place. that was also my first time but they help and they don't rush!.

Came back for faux locs..at first I thought the price was steep but after research found out it was reasonably. If you let them know not to do it tight, they don't. I got the owners daughter to do it, She is good with tender headed people. I have had them for about two months and they still look great. I work out, go in rain, etc. The best style for longevity and looks good. Only complaint is first week the hair made scalp itch but I oiled and washed and it was good after 2 weeks.

I just got my hair done and I love my poetic justice braids! I saw the lady mum and she slayed. I will definitely pay her another visit. Fast,neat, and worth the money!!! Thanks so much!!

I got havana twist done by Leo and her daughter. The price was very reasonable, and it included the hair. They filled my request to the T, my hair was not tight, was the style I showed them. They even redid four braids in the front that were too close together for me, without any attitude. Very professional, accommodating, and fair. I will be back.

I love this shop! I'm active duty military so I've been going there for over 2 years now! They're fast and so my daughter and I can get in and out in no time! They also give a military discount and I love that facts that the price comes with the hair included. I live in Hampton and the drive to them is definitely worth it!

I was really blessed at Christal African Hair Braid. Initially, I spoke with Fatima; very pleasant and inspired me to make an appointment. When I arrived, I was greeted by Monique; very pleasant also. Monique washed and braided my hair. I am more than pleased. I am so hAppY. I love my hair and I have to confess I am an individual and unique lady. The prices for various services were excellent. I am still smiling. I will be getting my hair crocheted before Christmas 2015. I am looking forward to that, too. I like it that is near home right here in ChEsapeake/Suffolk. It only takes me 15 minutes to get to the shop. I definitely invite man, child or woman to let them put a ???? smile on your face and make your day a little brighter. I believe you Will be pleased and will be doing the haPPy dance like me. Love love loved my mini box braids n pretty fast.they help each other yo finish started at 5:30 pm left at 9:00 pm :) n they lasted so long
